1. Ding! Elevator Pitch Time.

Did you know that the average attention span of an adult is about 6 to 8 seconds? That means you have a very short period of time to catch someone’s attention and to convince him or her to give your business a chance. Take the time to create an amazing pitch that highlights all your strengths and skills and that most importantly states what you can do for your prospective client. Why are you valuable?

2. Ask for referrals

It’s not out of this world to ask your existing customers for referrals. Most people agree they would be willing to provide a referral if asked, so stop missing the opportunities closest to your network bubble.

3. Offer coupons

You’d be surprised at how many people will do anything in their power to use a good coupon. Creating and distributing aesthetically pleasing and witty coupons is a great way to attract new customers and also a way for your existing ones to keep returning if you give them a coupon for future use.

4. Field Trip Time! Kind of.

Depending on how close you are to your customers, why not visit them more often? Always arrive with a little gift. Tech giveaways are a great idea at a great price. For example, our stylus pens are only $0.79! These spontaneous visits will increase loyalty and build a better relationship with your customer.

 5. Sharing is Caring.

A way to attract some low-cost attention for your business is volunteering to teach a class at your local community center, speak at a company meeting, or write an article for a local paper or blog.
